Frank Schneider Bids Farewell After 16-Year Mayoral Tenure
Outgoing mayor Frank Schneider bid farewell to his 16-year tenure, reflecting on the joy and honor it brought him. Nearly 300 guests from various sectors gathered to celebrate his achievements.

First Deputy Mayor Christian Benzrath highlighted Schneider's successful projects in economics, culture, education, digitalization, housing, and volunteer work. District Administrator Thomas Hendele praised Schneider for maintaining the city's debt-free status and creating over 5,000 new jobs. Hendele also acknowledged Schneider's combative side in advocating for the city and its municipalities. Schneider, in turn, thanked the attendees and received a shark painting by Michaela Dreßen as a gift. The event was filled with musical performances by the percussion group Back Beats and Langenfeld singer Florian Zimmermann.
