Franziska Erdle Steps In as New CEO of Germany’s Pharmacists’ Association
Franziska Erdle has taken over as the new CEO of the German Pharmacists’ Association (ABDA). She has pledged to protect pharmacies and their staff while pushing for major reforms in the sector. Her leadership will focus on turning ABDA into a more strategic and professional organization.
Erdle’s first task will be pharmacy reform. She wants to reshape ABDA into a proactive body that sets high standards for professional associations. To achieve this, she plans to work closely with grassroots members and experts at the Pharmacists’ House.
Solidarity among members will play a key role in her strategy. Erdle believes strong unity will help ABDA push its demands to policymakers more effectively. She has also stressed the need for a high-performing team that can respond quickly to industry challenges. Alongside Erdle’s appointment, Hans-Peter Hubmann remains in his position as chairman of the German Pharmacists Association (DAV). His continued role ensures stability as ABDA moves into this new phase.
Erdle’s leadership aims to strengthen pharmacies and their teams while modernising ABDA. The association is expected to become more forward-thinking and efficient under her direction. Her focus on reform and collaboration will shape its future approach.
