Free workshop helps first-time voters ahead of Baden-Württemberg election
A free information event for young people and first-time voters will take place ahead of the Baden-Württemberg state election. Organised by the State Agency for Civic Education, the session aims to explain the voting process and key political issues. The election itself, scheduled for March 8, 2026, will feature 21 parties, including major names like Grüne, CDU, SPD, AfD, FDP, and Die Linke.
The event will be held on Friday, March 6, at 5 p.m. at the K3 Youth Center in Villingen. Speakers will guide attendees through the election process, highlight important topics, and discuss why voting matters. An overview of the 21 participating parties—ranging from established groups like BSW and WerteUnion to the main contenders—will also be provided.
Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and join discussions. Light refreshments will be available throughout the evening. The organisers have stressed that no prior knowledge is needed, and all young voters are welcome.
The session offers a chance for first-time voters to understand their choices before casting ballots on March 8. With 21 parties competing, the election covers a wide political spectrum. Free entry and an informal setting aim to encourage participation and informed decision-making.
