Freiburg Hosts Free Cross-Border Consultations for Franco-German Residents
A cross-border consultation event will take place in Freiburg this Friday, December 5. The event, aimed at residents of the Upper Rhine region, offers guidance on issues affecting those living or working between Germany and France. Organisers include Europe Direct Freiburg, Infobest, and the French Honorary Consul’s office.
The event runs from 2:00 to 4:30 PM at Freiburg’s City Library. Attendees can book free, one-on-one consultations in either German or French. Topics covered include health insurance, taxes, family benefits, pensions, unemployment, and the practicalities of relocating to the neighbouring country.
The event addresses common challenges faced by residents navigating two different legal systems. Free expert advice will be offered on site, while additional resources are accessible online. The event aims to simplify cross-border transitions for individuals and families in the region.
