Freiburg Police Arrest Two in Morning Robbery and Assault
Freiburg Police have arrested two 18-year-old Moroccan nationals following a home invasion and robbery in the early hours of October 31. The suspects, both males, allegedly entered a residence in Wiesentalstraße through an open window and assaulted a 28-year-old resident while searching for valuables.
The incident occurred around 5:15 a.m. The victim, a 28-year-old resident, was restrained and assaulted during the ordeal. The men made off with the victim’s wallet and SIM card before fleeing the scene. The Freiburg Criminal Police have taken over the investigation, which is ongoing.
Following the incident, the Freiburg Public Prosecutor’s Office requested arrest warrants for the two young men. Police apprehended both suspects during a search operation in Freiburg-Wiehre. They have since been transferred to a correctional facility.
The two suspects, aged 18 and of Moroccan nationality, are currently in custody. The investigation into the robbery is ongoing, led by the Freiburg Criminal Police. The victim’s wallet and SIM card remain missing.
