French Ambassador Explores Kaziranga National Park
The Ambassador of France to India, Thierry Mathou, has arrived in Kaziranga National Park today. Accompanied by his family and two delegates, the visit follows a surge in tourism after high-profile visits by the Indian Prime Minister and heads of other nations. The delegation plans to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its one-horned rhinoceros, and will stay overnight at Infinity Resort in Baghori.
The French Ambassador's itinerary includes a jeep safari in the Baghori forest range on Sunday morning. Special safari jeeps have been arranged for the occasion. This is not the first time a French diplomat has visited Kaziranga. Alexandre Ziegler, the predecessor of the current ambassador, also paid a visit to the park. The rise in tourism can be attributed to recent visits by prominent figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders of other countries. Security arrangements have been beefed up by the Bokakhat Sub-Division and Kohora police administration for the Ambassador's visit.
The French Ambassador's visit to Kaziranga National Park aims to explore its unique wildlife and heritage. The overnight stay at Infinity Resort in Baghori and the planned jeep safari are part of this exploration. The visit is expected to further boost tourism in the park, following the trend set by recent high-profile visits.
