Fribourg Unveils Bold Plan for Adults with Disabilities by 2025
A new report outlines future plans for institutional services supporting adults with disabilities in the canton of Fribourg. The Directorate of Health and Social Affairs in Kerzers released the document, which was developed with input from a cantonal commission and relevant data. Kerzers municipal council has now backed the proposals put forward by the Freiburg Municipal Association (FGV).
The report was presented in 2025 to address the needs of disabled adults within the canton. It includes contributions from a dedicated cantonal commission and draws on up-to-date statistics to shape its recommendations.
The report now has the backing of Kerzers municipality, reinforcing the FGV’s influence on future service planning. The next steps will depend on how the canton implements the recommendations. Officials have not yet announced a timeline for further action.
