Frost Brown Todd & Gibbons Merge to Form 800-Attorney FBT Gibbons LLP
Two prominent law firms, Frost Brown Todd LLP and Gibbons P.C., have announced their merger, effective January 1, 2026. The combination will create FBT Gibbons LLP, a powerful national force with a robust transactional platform and enhanced litigation capabilities.
Gibbons P.C., established in Newark, NJ, in 1926, will celebrate its centennial in 2026. The firm brings its strong Northeast footprint and litigation reputation to the table. Frost Brown Todd, with offices in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, offers a solid transactional platform. The merged firm, FBT Gibbons LLP, will span from New York to California, with 25 locations including Cincinnati, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Lexington, Louisville, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Princeton, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.
The new firm will boast approximately 800 attorneys, serving clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups and mid-sized businesses. Robert Sartin, FBT's current Chairman, will lead the combined firm as its Chairman. Peter Torcicollo, Gibbons' Managing Director, and Adam Hall, FBT's CEO, will serve as Co-Managing Partners.
FBT Gibbons LLP's expanded capabilities and broader geographic reach will enable it to better serve its clients' diverse needs. The merger is set to strengthen both firms' positions in the national legal landscape.
