Fugitive wanted for fraud caught hiding in an Audi during traffic stop
A routine traffic stop on the Almaty–Tashkent highway has led to the apprehension of a wanted fugitive. The 44-year-old man, wanted by law enforcement in a neighbouring country for multiple counts of fraud, was discovered hiding in the back seat of an Audi. Traffic police officers from the Zhamyl (Jambyl) Regional Police Department were conducting a routine inspection when they came across the Audi, which matched the description of a vehicle listed in a law enforcement bulletin. Their vigilance paid off as they found the wanted man concealed in the back seat. The fugitive, whose name has not been disclosed, was then taken to the Korday District Police Department before being handed over to the competent authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic. The apprehension of the fugitive is a testament to the diligence of the police officers in the Zhamyl region. Their swift action has resulted in the capture of a criminal wanted for large-scale fraud schemes, demonstrating the importance of their vigilance in maintaining public safety.
