Galina Pletzer Secures Second Term as Ust-Vym District Leader in 2024 Vote
Galina Pletzer will continue as head of Ust-Vym District after a unanimous vote by the local council in the 2024 elections. The decision marks her second term in the role, having first taken office in 2018. This election was also the first under a new selection process introduced in July 2025.
The District Council of Deputies voted without opposition to reappoint Pletzer. Nikolai Kudryashov, chair of the council, highlighted her long administrative record and strong leadership skills. He also noted her deep understanding of the community’s needs and challenges.
Pletzer’s re-election extends her time in office beyond six years. The council’s backing reflects confidence in her ability to manage the district. Her next term will operate under the recently revised municipal selection framework.
