Gamsen Roundabout Closure: Detour Required for Motorists
Motorists travelling between Gamsen and Wilsche should prepare for a detour and temporary closure. The district of Gifhorn has announced that the Gamsen roundabout 'Zum Luisenhof' on county road 34 will undergo resurfacing from October 13 to October 26, 2025.
During the construction, which is estimated to cost around €160,000, the road will be fully closed. Traffic will be rerouted via Hamburger Straße to B188, then via Wilscher Weg and Gifhorner Weg. The detour in the opposite direction will follow the same route in reverse. The old pavement of the roundabout and its entrance and exit ramps will be removed and replaced with a new asphalt layer. In the westbound direction, the road will be repaired up to the connection of the B4 bridge.
The renovation is expected to last until October 26, 2025. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the detour signs. The district of Gifhorn apologises for any inconvenience caused during this necessary roadwork.
