In the competitive world of plug-in hybrid SUVs, two models have recently caught the attention of consumers - the Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i and the BYD Song Plus DM-i. Both vehicles offer hybrid powertrains, but they have distinct features that set them apart.

This system, which is also found in the Galaxy A7 EM-i, offers a notable all-electric range of up to 120 km and a total range exceeding 1,400 km. The BYD Song Plus DM-i, on the other hand, uses a specially optimized engine paired with efficient electric motors, providing electric ranges from about 50 km to 120 km, depending on the battery variant.

In terms of interior and features, the Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i stands out with its advanced cabin technology, including a 15.4-inch center display, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, a 16-speaker sound system, a 16.6-inch head-up display, and a panoramic sunroof, among other comfort features. The BYD Song Plus DM-i also offers a competitive tech and comfort package, benefiting from BYD's strong market presence.

When it comes to pricing, the Geely Galaxy L7 EM-i is expected to be priced between 100,000-130,000 Yuan (~$14,000-$18,200 USD), making it a competitive option in the market. The BYD Song Plus DM-i, however, tends to be priced slightly higher, with prices typically ranging around 120,000-160,000 Yuan (~$17,000-$22,500 USD).

In the market share, BYD currently has a stronger foothold in the hybrid SUV segment in China, while Geely is expanding steadily with its innovative hybrid technology and competitive pricing.
