Geisa Hosts Inclusive Event for Disability Awareness on Oct 21

The city of Geisa and surrounding municipalities are hosting an inclusion event on October 21, 2025, to promote understanding and accessibility for people with disabilities. About 20 percent of the Wartburg district's residents live with a disability, making this initiative crucial. Singer Anita Burck, known from ZDF's super hit parade and the Grand Prix of folk music, will perform at the event.

The 'Mehr zusammen - Zusammenleben und Erleben der Inklusion im Geisa-Gebiet' concept was developed with input from many involved and affected people, the Ministry for Social Affairs and Inclusion of Thuringia, local political figures, the Werkstatt-Rat, and antonius, an experienced carrier of disabled services. The event will feature experience and information stations, a wheelchair course, cultural highlights, and a poetry slam contribution.
