Pistorius and Warken Face Questions in the Bundestag - German Bundestag tackles defence, health, and Ukraine solidarity in packed session

The German Bundestag has scheduled a busy session for Wednesday, with debates and government questioning on key issues. Lawmakers will first question Defence Minister Boris Pistorius and Health Minister Nina Warken before moving to urgent discussions on public broadcasting and Ukraine solidarity.

The day's proceedings begin at 2 p.m. with a 100-minute question session. Lawmakers will focus on two major areas: Pistorius's plans for modernising the Bundeswehr and Warken's reforms in health insurance and long-term care.

At 4:25 p.m., an urgent debate will take place on *'Serious errors in public broadcasting reporting'* after a request from the AfD parliamentary group. The exact number of AfD members backing the motion remains unclear. Later, at 5:30 p.m., the Bundestag will debate a coalition motion marking the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The discussion will reaffirm Germany's support for Kyiv. The session concludes at 6:40 p.m. with the first reading of a draft bill aimed at preventing the abuse of paternity acknowledgments. The proposal is part of the coalition's legislative agenda.

Wednesday's Bundestag session covers defence, health, media accountability, and international solidarity. The debates will address ongoing reforms, legislative changes, and Germany's stance on Ukraine. Lawmakers are set to examine both domestic and foreign policy challenges.
