German-Czech Forum Strengthens Cross-Border Ties in Regensburg
The third German-Czech Regional Forum took place in Regensburg, hosted by the German Foreign Office. Over 200 representatives from municipalities and organisations attended the two-day event. Cities with existing ties to the Czech Republic, including Kaufbeuren, were invited to take part in discussions and workshops.
The forum aimed to strengthen cross-border cooperation, with a focus on civil society, cultural exchange, healthcare, and transport. Participants worked in thematic groups to tackle everyday challenges and propose practical solutions for joint projects.
The conference highlighted the importance of cross-border cooperation in areas like healthcare, transport, and cultural exchange. Kaufbeuren’s delegation gained new insights and possible project ideas for future collaboration. The outcomes will now be reviewed for implementation in upcoming regional initiatives.
