More than five years in prison for pimping - German pimp jailed for exploiting two women in ‘loverboy’ abuse case
A 36-year-old man from Ratingen has been jailed for five years and three months after exploiting two young women as a pimp. The verdict, delivered in 2024 by Judge Thomas Schäfer, followed a trial exposing years of abuse, including rape and false imprisonment. One of the victims was just 15 when she was groomed and forced into sex work.
The man used the 'loverboy' method to manipulate his victims, building trust before exploiting them. Over time, he amassed a fortune through their forced labour. One woman, now 32, filed charges in January 2024, prompting authorities to launch surveillance and wiretap his communications.
The case has ended with a prison term and financial compensation for the survivors. The verdict highlights the severity of the crimes, including the grooming of a teenager. Both women will now receive damages as part of the court’s decision.
