German police dismantle human smuggling network near Belgian border
Federal Police have stopped a human smuggling operation near Aachen-Köpfchen. A 34-year-old Pakistani man was caught transporting two Indian nationals into Germany from Belgium. The incident has exposed a wider network of illegal crossings.
The arrest took place when officers intercepted a vehicle carrying the two men, aged 26 and 31. Inside, they found entry stamps belonging to other individuals, raising suspicions of repeated smuggling. Authorities then searched the suspect’s apartment, uncovering more evidence linked to illegal border crossings.
The case highlights ongoing efforts to disrupt illegal migration routes. The smuggler now faces charges, while the two men have been returned to Belgian authorities. Investigations into the broader smuggling network continue.
