German Startup Awards 2026: Nominations Open Until Oct 19
The German Startup Awards 2026 are currently in their nomination phase, which will run until October 19, 2025. These prestigious awards, presented by the Startup Association for the seventh time, aim to recognise and celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to the German startup ecosystem.
Four categories are up for grabs: 'Newcomer of the Year', 'Founder of the Year', 'Investor of the Year', and 'Impact Entrepreneur of the Year'. These awards honour those who demonstrate innovative strength and entrepreneurial courage, focusing on personal stories, innovative spirit, and resilience in the face of successes and setbacks.
Verena Pausder, Chair of the Startup Association, explains the awards' purpose: 'We want to shine a light on the people who are shaping the future of German startups. These awards are about more than just business success; they're about the journey, the challenges overcome, and the inspiration these individuals provide.'
Nominations can be submitted via the German Startup Awards website until the deadline. After the nomination phase, a preliminary selection will take place, followed by a jury process to determine the winners. The final award ceremony will be held in spring 2026 in Berlin.
