German teen caught with drugs at Gera train station during routine check
Federal police at Gera Central Station stopped a young man after noticing signs of impairment. The 19-year-old German citizen was searched, leading to the discovery of illegal substances. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the incident.
The encounter took place during a routine check at the station. Officers approached the teenager due to his unusual behaviour. A pat-down revealed an ecstasy tablet and a small bottle of narcotics hidden in his sock.
The drugs were immediately confiscated, but the man was permitted to carry on with his travel. When questioned, he claimed no memory of how the substances ended up in his possession. Following the discovery, police initiated an investigation under Germany’s Narcotics Act. The teenager’s identity has not been disclosed, and no further details about his background have been released.
The case will now proceed under legal review. If found guilty, the 19-year-old could face penalties in line with German drug laws. The investigation remains ongoing.
