Germany Launches First-Ever System Catering Innovation Award for 2026
The German System Catering Association (BdS) has launched the 2026 German System Catering Award. For the first time, the prize will recognise innovative concepts, projects, and business models in the industry.
Applications are now open to both new and established companies. The award seeks to highlight fresh ideas and sustainable contributions to system catering.
Companies can apply directly or be nominated by others. The deadline for submissions is May 4, 2026. An independent expert panel will then review all entries and select the winners.
The awards ceremony will take place at the BdS Luncheon in Munich on September 18, 2026. Alongside the main prize, honorary or special awards may also be presented.
Markus Suchert, Managing Director of BdS, has emphasised the need for innovation in the sector. He described the award as a way to celebrate dynamism and forward-thinking approaches in system catering.
No previous winners of the German System Catering Award exist. Records also show no documented concepts or campaigns from the past three years (2023–2025).
The 2026 award marks a new initiative to promote creativity in system catering. Winning entries will gain recognition at a high-profile industry event. The BdS hopes to inspire further progress through this annual prize.
