The German-German Museum Germany Mödlareuth has reopened after a €22 million renovation. Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier attended the October opening. The museum's exhibition space has more than doubled, offering visitors a broader perspective on local and international history.

The modernization included removing the iconic 3.3-meter-high concrete barrier that once divided the village. The exact date of its removal is not specified. The new building provides a clear view of the outdoor grounds, enhancing the visitor experience.

The expanded exhibition space, now over 500 square meters, allows for a more comprehensive presentation of the museum's themes.
