The North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament is hosting a special event today, from 12 to 6 PM. The highlight is the unusual premiere of the first Pixi book, 'Night at the Parliament', which teaches children about democracy and conflict resolution. The book will be presented by André Kuper, the president of the state parliament, and distributed for free.
The Pixi book, titled 'Night at the Parliament', is the brainchild of Jacqueline Krause-Burger. It aims to educate children about the importance of every voice in a democratic society and how to resolve conflicts peacefully. The book will be launched on World Children's Day, September 20, 2025.
The event promises a variety of activities for children. 'SpaceBuzz One' and 'School_Lab' offer interactive learning experiences. A fake-news module helps children understand the importance of reliable information. Children's shows, exhibitions, and games will also be available.
