Ghana was among the participating countries, represented by a high-level delegation from the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG), led by its Chairman, Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim. The conference covered key areas such as logistics, housing, catering, sustainable architecture, and digital transformation, with the aim of strengthening collaboration with Saudi authorities and ensuring smooth arrangements for Ghanaian pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj.
The event saw over one million pilgrim contracts concluded, the highest number recorded so far. Saudi Arabia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, signed official Hajj agreements with participating countries, including Ghana, for the 1447 AH (2026) Hajj season. The Nusuk app, an official digital platform for Hajj and Umrah services, has over 40 million users.
The PAOG delegation is expected back home to brief stakeholders on the outcomes of the conference, ensuring a well-organized Hajj season for Ghanaian pilgrims in 2026.
