Ghana’s Juapong Textile revival could create 100,000 local jobs soon
The government is pushing to revive the Juapong Textile Industry in a bid to create jobs near me and strengthen the local textile sector. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, has expressed confidence in the revival of the Juapong Textile Industry. The Minister for Trade has also pledged support, including a public-private partnership to help restart operations.
Ablakwa highlighted broader development in the region, including road upgrades, new school dormitories, and mechanised boreholes. These projects aim to improve local infrastructure alongside the textile revival. If successful, the industry could once again supply uniforms for schools, security agencies, and state institutions.
