Ghana’s top engineer urges professionals to enter politics for national growth
Outgoing President of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana (IET-GH), Engr Henry Kwadwo Boateng, has called on engineers to step into politics and governance. Speaking at his final official event in Wa, he stressed that their technical skills are vital for shaping Ghana's future policies and development.
Engr Boateng made the appeal during the Wa induction ceremony, marking the end of his term as IET-GH President. He highlighted that engineers have historically driven Ghana's infrastructure and economic growth but now need to take on leadership roles beyond their professional fields.
Engr Boateng's tenure as IET-GH President concluded with a push for engineers to embrace civic responsibility and public service. His emphasis on responsible leadership and technical expertise aims to strengthen Ghana's policy decisions in the years ahead.
