Gießen launches free home energy consultations for climate-friendly upgrades

Gießen residents in select areas can now benefit from a free energy consultation campaign. The 'On-site Energy Consultation' initiative, a collaboration between the city of Gießen and LEA Hesse, begins on September 10, 2025, with an opening event at the Technical University of Middle Hesse at 6:00 PM.

The campaign targets homeowners in the Evangelical Settlement, the Professor's Quarter, and two nearby areas. They can receive personalised energy consultations in their own homes, focusing on efficient heat protection, modern heating technology, and the use of renewable energies. The consultations, lasting approximately an hour, aim to make residential buildings more energy-efficient and climate-friendly, particularly in areas with high energy-saving potential.

At the opening event, Max Steinberg, a qualified expert, will be present to answer individual questions about the energy consultation programme.

Homeowners interested in participating can register online, via email, or by phone to schedule a consultation appointment. The campaign runs from September 10 to November 19, 2025, offering a valuable opportunity to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint.
