There are group of people holding placards and walking. These are the trees. I can see small bushes. This is the banner. I can see a building with name boards attached to it. These look like cars. I think these are the current polls.

Global delegates observe Bihar’s election process under India’s new international program

The Election Commission of India (ECI) initiated its International Election Visitors' Programme (IEVP) with 16 delegates from six countries as the Bihar Assembly elections commenced. The programme began on November 4, 2025, at the India International Institute for Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) in New Delhi.

The delegates, representing Colombia, Indonesia, Thailand, The Philippines, Belgium, and South Africa, were given a detailed presentation on the functioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), voter roll management, and logistical preparedness. The IEVP 2025 includes a two-day tour of Bihar from November 5-6, 2025, where participants will visit EVM dispatch centres and witness actual polling on November 6, 2025.

The inaugural session was chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioner Vivek Joshi. The ECI welcomes international observers to learn about India's democratic processes and strengthen global electoral cooperation.

The IEVP 2025 provides a platform for international delegates to understand India's electoral system and best practices. The ECI's efforts in promoting transparency and international cooperation are commendable, as they foster a global exchange of knowledge and experiences in election management.
