Global leaders condemn deadly Red Fort attack as India vows justice

A tragic incident near the iconic Red Fort in Delhi has drawn international condolences and condemnation. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, along with Indian leaders, have called for a swift and thorough investigation into the attack, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has labelled as a terrorist incident.

Guterres sent his condolences to the Indian government and people following the explosion near the historic monument. In a meeting with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in New York, Guterres stressed the need for a full investigation into the incident. Jaishankar, appreciative of Guterres' steadfast support for India's growth and development, expressed his gratitude for the UN Secretary-General's perspective on key regional issues.

Domestically, the Indian Union Cabinet has directed a swift and professional investigation into the attack. The cabinet has declared it a terrorist incident, with Prime Minister Modi vowing to bring the perpetrators to justice. The Interior Minister, Amit Shah, has announced a comprehensive investigation and deployed special units of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to handle the case.

The international community, led by the UN Secretary-General, stands with India in condemning the terrorist attack near the Red Fort. With a full investigation underway, both domestically and internationally, the focus remains on justice and preventing future incidents.
