Global Women's Summit in Berlin: 1000+ Participants Network for Sustainable Leadership
The Global Women's Summit in Berlin, held from July 3rd to 5th, saw around 1000 participants and 150 speakers from over 40 countries. The event focused on sustainable leadership, digital transformation, and women's ESG initiatives. Businesswomen from around 60 nations, including a delegation from Kazakhstan, attended the summit.
The Association of Businesswomen of Kazakhstan, celebrating 23 years of attendance, was represented by board member Assel Machmudova. She found inspiration in sessions discussing women in green energy and global IT companies. The summit highlighted main trends such as investments in women's projects, digital financial literacy, climate entrepreneurship, and international women's networks.
International projects showcased included sustainable menstrual health solutions, with collaborations like the Gates Foundation, Siemens Stiftung, and GIZ. These initiatives focus on safer menstrual products and gender strategies, offering potential implementations for Kazakhstani entrepreneurs. Notable companies represented at the summit included Siemens, Deutsche Telekom, Mercedes-Benz, and UN Women Germany.
Machmudova noted stronger systematic promotion of female entrepreneurs in Europe compared to Kazakhstan. She exchanged business cards with representatives of FidAR e.V. and Astrid Maier of Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH, indicating potential future collaborations. The summit provided a platform for global networking and knowledge exchange, with the Association of Businesswomen of Kazakhstan looking forward to implementing new ideas and strategies.
