Göppingen mourns Christian Stähle, a tireless advocate for social justice

Christian Stähle, a long-serving city councillor for the Left Party in Göppingen, has died at the age of 66. He passed away on 3 March 2023 after a prolonged and serious illness. Colleagues and local leaders have paid tribute to his decades of public service.

Stähle first joined Göppingen's city council in July 2009. Over the years, he became a well-known figure in local politics, recognised for his strong dedication to social justice. His vision centred on building an open, democratic urban community.
