Göttingen's Urban Renewal Board to Discuss Key Projects on February 3
The Urban Renewal Advisory Board for Göttingen's 'Northern Inner City' will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. The session begins at 6:00 PM at StartRaum Göttingen, located on Friedrichstraße 3–4 in Room 'Forum'. Residents are invited to attend and raise questions about the agenda or related concerns.
The meeting will start with reports from local neighbourhood representatives. Following this, updates from the district office will be shared.
The board will then review progress on key projects, including the Iduna Center, Waageplatz, and Maschstraße developments. These sites fall under the responsibility of the City of Hannover and its development authority. An updated cost and financing overview for these projects will also be presented.
A discussion on the former prison facility buildings is scheduled, alongside a presentation about the Stockleffmühle site. The evening will close with a review of 2025 activities and an outlook for 2026.
Residents can engage directly with the Advisory Board during the meeting. Questions about the agenda items or other local matters will be addressed. The session aims to provide clarity on ongoing urban renewal efforts in the Northern Inner City.
