Government to audit online payments in 2026 for budget transparency

A joint review of online payments will begin in January 2026, following the new Budget Code. The Ministry of Finance and Parliament will work together to assess how these funds are used. The aim is to improve transparency and efficiency in the country’s budget spending.

The upcoming review will examine several key areas. These include the effectiveness, transparency, and overall usage of online payments. Both the Government and Parliament will share responsibility for the process.

The review will start in early 2026, marking a step toward clearer financial management. Parliament and the Government will jointly evaluate online payments to ensure better accountability. The process aligns with ongoing efforts to reform fiscal policies and improve public trust in budget decisions.
