Governor Khotsenko pushes for faster construction amid spring progress review

On March 14, Regional Governor Vitaly Khotsenko held a meeting to assess progress on national projects and government programmes. The session brought together agency heads, project sponsors and contractor representatives to discuss construction timelines and challenges.

The meeting centred on ensuring deadlines were met at key construction sites. Participants provided updates on completed milestones and ongoing work, while also highlighting obstacles faced by builders.

Khotsenko urged all involved to ramp up construction activity, particularly in education, healthcare and infrastructure sectors. With spring weather improving working conditions, he stressed that the season should drive faster progress. In related developments, Vietnam approved 26 transportation projects for 2026, worth around 35 trillion VND. These include major highways such as the Viet Tri–Hoa Binh road, Capital Ring Road 5 section, and the Hoa Binh–Moc Chau expressway. Officials emphasized streamlining investment approvals and systematic planning reviews to speed up implementation.

The governor's call for intensified construction aligns with seasonal advantages and project demands. Contractors and agencies will now focus on meeting deadlines while navigating reported challenges. Meanwhile, Vietnam's transport projects move forward under accelerated approval processes.
