Law Firm Clears Green Party Faction Leader of Accusations - Green Party leaders in Germany cleared of workplace misconduct allegations

A law firm has cleared Constanze Oehlrich and Jutta Wegner, two prominent members of the Green Party in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, of workplace-related allegations. The investigation, conducted under Germany's General Equal Treatment Act, found no evidence to support the claims. The allegations were first raised weeks after the caucus voted to remove Hannes Damm, the deputy leader, due to a 'serious breach of trust'. Despite the recent turmoil, Damm continues to serve as a lawmaker and the caucus's spokesperson on climate and energy policy. Oehlrich, who received the outcome with relief, acknowledged that such proceedings can be unsettling and impact trust. The specific nature of the allegations and the details of the case will not be disclosed to respect the employee involved and the team's privacy. The law firm, whose name has not been disclosed to protect personal rights and ensure procedural integrity, has concluded its investigation. Both Oehlrich and Wegner have been exonerated, allowing the Green Party to move forward and focus on its political agenda.
