Green Party Vows to Push Climate, Mobility, Justice as Opposition
The Green Party has expressed regret over the decision by the CDU to end their coalition in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district council. The Green Party aims to remain a driving force for climate protection, mobility, and social justice in the district, even as they move into the role of opposition.
Ursula Ehren, faction leader of the Green Party, stated that they would have continued working on climate protection, expanding mobility, and promoting social justice had the coalition with the CDU continued. The Green Party would have maintained a reliable majority for sustainable development.
Dagmar Keller-Bartel, co-faction leader, emphasized the party's commitment to the district's future and their political responsibility. The Green Party will now act critically, solution-oriented, and in the interest of a livable future for all people in the district. They plan to be a vigilant and constructive opposition, contributing ideas and presenting alternatives.
The Green Party, despite the regret over the loss of a successful and constructive coalition with the CDU, is prepared to take on the role of opposition. They remain committed to their core values and will continue to push for climate protection, mobility improvements, and social justice in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district. The CDU, meanwhile, has not yet commented on the matter.
