Green Youth’s ex-chair calls her term a failure after explosive tweet backlash

Jette Nietzard, the former chair of the Green Youth, has called her one-year term a personal failure. In a recent reflection, she admitted feeling burned by both the media and her own party. Her time in office was marked by controversy, particularly over a New Year's Eve tweet that sparked widespread debate.

Nietzard's troubles began with a tweet posted around New Year's 2024/2025. In it, she wrote that men who lose their hands to fireworks would no longer be able to beat women. The remark quickly drew criticism, leading her to delete it and issue an apology at the time.

Nietzard remains defiant about her original tweet but acknowledges the toll her term took. She now views her time as chair with disappointment, believing she made no meaningful progress. The controversy over her social media post continues to shape her perspective on her political career.
