Greens unveil gender-balanced slate for Mindelheim’s 2026 city council race

The Mindelheim branch of Alliance 90/The Greens has set its candidate list for the 2026 city council elections. Four names lead the slate: Birgit Materne, Frank Muck, Angela Doll, and Josef Doll. The party has also outlined its main campaign goals for the upcoming vote.

The Greens in Mindelheim have chosen eleven candidates for the elections, with women making up over half the list. Six women and five men will represent the party on the ballot.

Longtime city councillor Josef Doll welcomed the mix of experience and fresh faces. He described the balance as a strength for the campaign.

The party’s key priorities include expanding climate-friendly infrastructure and pushing for progressive family policies. Improving opportunities for young people in the area also features prominently in their plans.

The Greens will now focus on campaigning ahead of the 2026 elections. Their list features a gender-balanced team with a mix of new and established candidates. The party’s agenda centres on sustainability, family support, and youth engagement.
