Grevenbroich's Carnival Parade Brings Traffic Changes on February 12

Grevenbroich's city centre will see traffic changes on February 12, 2026, for the annual Kids & Confetti children's Carnival parade. The event, a highlight of the pre-Lenten season, draws between 1,500 and 2,000 young participants each year. Authorities have announced road closures to keep the parade safe and well-organised.

The parade will run from 9:30 AM to around 10:30 AM, following a set route through the heart of the city. Streets along the way will be completely closed to vehicles during this time. Temporary no-parking zones and access restrictions will also apply near the marketplace and Schlossstraße.

Motorists and locals have been urged to steer clear of the area and plan alternative routes. Despite the closures, emergency services will maintain full operational access at all times. The measures are designed to protect the young participants and ensure the event runs smoothly.

The road closures and parking restrictions will remain in effect only for the duration of the parade. Organisers have stressed the importance of cooperation from drivers and residents to keep the event safe. Clear signage and advance notices will help guide the public through the temporary changes.
