A 45-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint during a meeting to buy a smartphone in Lohfelden-Crumbach, Kassel district. The incident left the victim with minor injuries after two armed attackers targeted him on Tuesday evening.
The man had arranged the purchase through an online classifieds platform. When he met the sellers, two assailants threatened him with a pistol and demanded his cash. They then sprayed him with pepper spray before fleeing the scene.
Emergency services arrived quickly to treat the victim's injuries. Police launched an immediate manhunt, deploying multiple patrol cars, but the suspects escaped. Authorities have now turned to the public for help in identifying the perpetrators.
The two attackers remain at large as investigations continue. Police urge anyone with information about the robbery to come forward. The victim's condition is stable following medical treatment.
