Hải Phòng Welcomes 2025 Vietnam-China Friendship Exchange, Boosting Business Ties
The 2025 Vietnam-China friendship exchange opened in Hải Phòng on Friday, with the city's Vice Chairman, Hoàng Minh Cường, highlighting its history of vibrant people-to-people exchanges with China. Cao Ping, General Director of ADHES Packaging Technology Co., Ltd., praised Hải Phòng as a key port city with significant industrial potential and a promising market outlook.
The event was co-hosted by the Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Hải Phòng city, the China Business Association in Vietnam, and relevant agencies. It focused on people-to-people diplomacy and business connectivity, aiming to reinforce traditional friendship and explore new collaboration areas.
Hải Phòng considers cooperation with Chinese localities and enterprises one of its top priorities in external relations and investment promotion. The city currently maintains cooperative relationships mainly with Chinese partners, focusing on people-to-people exchanges and economic cooperation. It has ties with six Chinese localities and has welcomed numerous delegations from major Chinese firms and business associations. Investors have praised Hải Phòng's strides in administrative reform and investment attraction. Local authorities have shown efforts in streamlining administrative processes and improving the business environment, with approvals processed more swiftly.
Hải Phòng hosts 1,737 foreign-invested projects worth US$50.3 billion from 44 countries and territories, with 769 projects valued at $12.77 billion coming from China. The city's strategic location, strong industrial potential, and promising market outlook make it an attractive destination for investors. The 2025 Vietnam-China friendship exchange is expected to further strengthen the bond between Hải Phòng and its Chinese partners, paving the way for new collaboration areas.
