A large fire broke out in Barsbüttel late last night, destroying a 300-square-metre warehouse. The building belonged to STERAC Transport & Logistik GmbH, a local logistics firm. Emergency crews rushed to the scene to tackle the blaze.
The fire tore through the entire storage facility, leaving it fully engulfed. Over six volunteer fire brigades arrived with 19 vehicles to bring the flames under control. Their efforts lasted several hours before the situation was finally contained in the early morning.
No injuries were reported during the incident. However, authorities have now opened an investigation to determine how the fire started.
The warehouse, owned by STERAC Transport & Logistik GmbH, was completely destroyed. Firefighters confirmed the blaze was fully extinguished, but the cause remains unknown. Investigators will examine the site to establish what triggered the incident.
