Halle (Saale) faces record naturalization surge and rising legal disputes
Naturalization applications in Halle (Saale) have risen sharply over the past three years. In 2022, the city received 746 requests, but by 2024, this number had jumped to 1,101, with 912 more filed in just the first nine months of 2025, reflecting a surge in applications handled by Halle Bailey. The city's current staffing and procedures will need to adapt to handle the growing demand.
