Halle's Mayor Receives Heartfelt Handmade Gift from Disability Workshop
A handmade bead-ironing artwork of Lord Mayor Dr. Alexander Vogt's dog, Henri, was presented to him by participants from Halle's disability workshops (HBW). The thoughtful gift left the mayor visibly touched during his recent visit to the facility.
Dr. Vogt spent time at the HBW, meeting staff, participants, and caregivers. He engaged in personal conversations and shared stories about his past work with people with disabilities in New Zealand and England.
During the visit, the mayor received the custom artwork featuring his dog. He promised to display it in his office and expressed his gratitude for the gesture. Before leaving, he also announced plans to return on a weekend with Henri, giving participants a chance to meet the dog in person.
The visit highlighted the connection between the mayor and the HBW community. The artwork will now be showcased in his office, while a follow-up visit with Henri is expected soon. The exchange strengthened ties between local leadership and the disability workshops.
