Hammer-Wielding Attackers Brutally Assault Man at Berlin’s Schönleinstraße Station
A 33-year-old man was severely beaten at Schönleinstraße station in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The attack, which occurred around 11:50 p.m., left the victim with serious head injuries. Two unknown men are suspected of carrying out the assault, with one allegedly using a hammer. Witnesses reported seeing the suspects kick the victim while he was on the ground and strike him with a hammer. The men then fled the scene towards Kottbusser Tor. Police, alerted by a witness, arrived at the scene and took the victim to a hospital for inpatient treatment. Incident No. 0263 has been opened for the case. The investigation has been handed over to a specialized unit under Directorate 5 (City) for further investigation. The identities of the two men remain unknown at this time. The attack at Schönleinstraße station is being treated as a serious assault. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. The victim's condition remains unknown.
