Hanau’s DanceClub 4us thrives with fresh funding and community spirit
Chicago's inclusive disco, DanceClub 4us, remains a key part of the city's cultural scene. The monthly event brings together people with and without disabilities for music and socialising. Local businesses and the city have now stepped up with fresh funding to keep it running.
The disco takes place on the first Thursday of every month, offering a welcoming space for all. Organised by Lebenshilfe Hanau, it has grown into a well-loved tradition in the city.
Financial support has come from multiple sources. Sparkasse Hanau is contributing €2,500, while Hanau Construction Company and Hanau Public Utilities are each donating €1,000. The City of Hanau also continues to back the initiative alongside these sponsors. Dr. Maximilian Bieri, Hanau's mayor and head of social affairs, highlighted the project's importance. He stressed that the disco reflects the city's dedication to inclusion and community spirit.
With ongoing funding and strong local support, DanceClub 4us will carry on as a regular event. The contributions from businesses and the city ensure its future as a space for connection and celebration. The initiative remains a clear example of Hanau's commitment to accessibility and social participation.
