Hanau's Youth Collection Week kicks off to fund local children's programmes
Hanau's Youth Collection Week will run from March 14 to April 2. The annual campaign raises money for local children's and youth programmes. Organisers are calling on residents to donate generously to support the town's younger generation.
The funds collected will go towards leisure activities, new equipment, and summer camps for young people. Mayor Dr. Maximilian Bieri has backed the initiative, stressing its role in strengthening community ties. He urged Hanau's residents to contribute what they can during the two-week drive.
Volunteers play a key part in children's and youth work across Hesse, with over 75,000 people giving their time. The campaign not only provides financial support but also helps bring the community together. Donations will directly benefit local clubs and facilities, though exact numbers of participating groups have not been confirmed.
The money raised will help expand opportunities for young people in Hanau. Activities, equipment, and summer programmes will all receive a boost from the donations. Organisers hope the campaign will see strong support from across the town.
