Hanover Police and Bundeswehr Forge New Training Alliance in 2025
The Hanover Police Directorate and the Bundeswehr’s School for Military Police and Staff Service have formalised a new partnership. Signed on Monday, November 24, 2025, the agreement aims to strengthen joint training and operational cooperation between the two organizations. Both sides will focus on improving skills in key areas such as driving, self-defence, and firearms handling.
The cooperation agreement covers a wide range of activities, including shared conferences, workshops, and practical training exercises. Each organization will fund its own participation, ensuring independence while fostering collaboration. Joint training programs will prioritise driving techniques, unarmed combat, and weapons proficiency, with resources shared across departments.
The five-year partnership will see both organizations working closely on training and resource-sharing initiatives. Annual evaluations will ensure the collaboration remains effective and aligned with evolving needs. The focus remains on practical skills, knowledge exchange, and maintaining high operational standards.
