HAW Hamburg Student Parliament Elections Open for Candidates Until November 19
The Student Parliament elections at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) are approaching, with voting set for December 1 to 5. Candidates now have until November 19 to submit their applications, following an extension of the original deadline. The parliament holds significant influence, overseeing student funds and electing the General Students’ Committee (AStA).
The election process allows students to run either as direct candidates or on a party list. Each of the university’s nine faculties acts as its own electoral district. In total, 36 seats are available: 9 for direct candidates and 27 for list representatives.
The extended deadline gives more students the chance to participate in the election. Successful candidates will shape student policies and financial decisions for the coming term. Voting will be open to all enrolled students at designated campus locations.
