Hawaii State Capitol honors educators in House Education Week 2024

House Education Week kicks off at the Hawaii State Capitol this Monday. The event, organised by the House Committee on Education, will celebrate teachers, students, faculty, and librarians for their outstanding work. Daily floor sessions will highlight their achievements in person and online.

The week-long celebration begins with floor presentations each day at noon. These sessions will honour individuals who have made significant contributions in education. Viewers can watch live as the awardees are recognised on the House YouTube channel.

Rep. Justin H. Woodson, who chairs the House Education Committee, called it a privilege to host the event. The committee has sponsored the programme to showcase those making a difference in schools and libraries across the state.

The event will run throughout the week, with names of awardees announced during the noon sessions. Live streams ensure the public can follow along as educators and students receive their recognition. No further details on the number of recipients have been released.
