HCM City's Minh Phụng Ward launches digital tool to streamline voting

Minh Phụng Ward in HCM City has rolled out a new digital tool to simplify voting for its residents. The application helps over 70,000 voters across 26 polling stations find their assigned locations and check election details. Officials hope the move will make the process smoother and encourage greater participation.

The app allows users to search for their polling station by entering a house number and street name. Once found, it displays the assigned location, a list of registered household voters, and details about the candidates. Information covers those running for the National Assembly, the city's People's Council, and the ward-level People's Council.

A digital map is built into the tool, giving voters clear directions to their polling place. The application is available in both Vietnamese and Chinese, reflecting the ward's large Chinese-Vietnamese population. This feature aims to ensure all residents can access the information they need. The ward is also exploring an option for voters to select a preferred time slot for casting their ballots. The initiative focuses on improving public services and making it easier for citizens to take part in the election.

The digital lookup tool provides quick access to accurate election information. It supports multiple languages and includes navigation features to help voters reach their polling stations. Authorities believe these measures will help the election run efficiently and increase voter engagement.
